PARTICIPANT SPOTLIGHT → Seaworthy

sea·wor·thy /ˈsēˌwərT͟Hē/

adj. fit to traverse the seas: a seaworthy freighter; a seaworthy crew

Oh, and (unbeknownst to the dictionary) also defines a beautiful jewelry company. Created by Marisa Howard, Seaworthy draws inspiration from architecture and textile designs of the 30s and 40s, incorporating mixed metals and various aging processes. Both simply geometric and fascinatingly intricate, Marisa's raw metal pieces take on a life of their own over time, and can be worn casually as well as for special occasions...

Marisa will soon debut her fall line, and also offers limited edition pieces, if you didn't happen to know. And if you haven't made it by her studio, her blog features her current work, not to mention some truly beautiful travel photography. Marisa will be sharing her beautiful work at Spoken For, but browse the Seaworthy shop in the meantime!
